The Kavalkade Alaska IV turnout rug impresses with its excellent fit. The rug is designed without a back seam and features an extended wither area. As a result, the actual length of the rug is approximately 10 cm longer than the measured length of the horse’s back. This design ensures the rug sits in front of the withers, providing optimal protection for the shoulder area and preventing it from slipping behind the sensitive withers when the horse raises or lowers its head.

Please follow the care label instructions.
Before each wash, close all hook-and-loop fasteners and place the rug in a sturdy wash bag. This prevents the metal fittings from hitting the drum during the wash cycle, breaking open, or rusting more quickly. Always wash turnout rugs with a detergent specifically made for outdoor rugs to minimise damage to the fabric’s lamination. Wash the rug at 30°C on a gentle or delicate cycle. Additional waterproofing is not necessary, as the rug’s waterproofing comes from the fabric’s inner lamination, and reproofing treatments can damage this layer.
